Does the EPIC-Oxford study show that being vegan confers a higher risk of getting bone fractures?

CORRECTION: I made an error (not related to my argument) in my critique with the study, but an error non the less. I should not have said the authors did not disclose statistical software. They did disclose which software they used. Not sure how I missed that when I read the paper, but it is in fact there. I stand by the rest of my arguments though.

My characterization of the adjustment as stratification with MH equations was inaccurate and I should have described the BMI and calcium adjustments as categorizations. The same arguments still stand against them of course. Their adjustment methods I can't agree with that approach even slightly and theres an enormous literature against categorization of this sort.
