Mass extinctions of fauna are known to have occurred towards the end of the last Ice Age, especially during the transition from the Pleistocene to the Holocene. Palaeontologists attribute these extinctions to over hunting by humans, as well as the changes in temperature that took place then. However, there are many researchers to who think that sudden catastrophes connected to the strange period of cooling labelled the Younger Dryas Period, may be to blame.
In this video I discuss the Boneyard Alaska, made famous on Joe Rogan's podcast, as well as the caves and fissures containing fossilised Ice Age fauna in Malta. Do these sites and many others hold additional clues as to what happened on the planet towards to the end of the last Ice Age? Let me know what you think in the comments.
