The dream stele sits between the paws of the Great Sphinx and was erected by the pharaoh Thutmose IV. It is enigmatic for several reasons, one of which is that is contains an etching of the Sphinx sat above a pedestal with a doorway in it. Another, is its incomplete reference to the builder of the Sphinx.
