Are live sports becoming luxury goods?

The cheapest Knicks Finals ticket is $4,000.

For less than that, Knicks fans are flying to Texas, staying in a hotel, and buying a ticket to the San Antonio stadium.

The NBA isn't alone though.

FIFA expects to make $3 billion (up from $1B in 2022) from ticket sales at the 2026 World Cup, which is why you may not know ANYONE attending a match.

Time will tell if fans will remain “fanatics” if they can’t ever experience their teams in person.
