This was created after the martyrdom of Francis Santillano, a 16-year old student of the Philippine Science High School, when a pillbox was hurled at him and his fellow comrades while demonstrating in Manila. It was written by Reynante Andal in 1970, a nationalist, with the intention of turning the grief caused by this incident into mass action and courage.
