This funny little creature is a relative of the more familiar "pillbug" or "roly poly" that can be found living on land under rotten logs or rocks all over the world. Just like land-living pillbugs, the aquatic version is a harmless scavenger, and cannot bite or sting. Pillbugs and aquatic isopods are crustaceans, related to lobsters and crabs.
