After a several-minute timeline presentation outlining the administration's response to COVID19, and weeks of detailed explanations of their actions since declaring a Public Health Emergency on January 31, which mandated the immediate acquisition of PPE to replenish the depleted national stockpile and empty state stockpiles, this reporter betrayed her ignorance and bias with this emotional outburst.
President Trump: "You're a disgrace" for framing the question that way.
And she is.
As part of the January 31 proclamation (which was before the month of February in which the president "did nothing"): "...pursuant to section 319F‑3 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 247d‑6d), and releasing policies to accelerate the acquisition of personal protective equipment and streamline bringing new diagnostic capabilities to laboratories."
