We saved Winston from slaughter in June of 2017. When we bailed him off the kill lot, he was 9 months old, looked like a skeleton and feared his own shadow. We couldn't touch him for weeks.
Today, he explores the yard while our volunteers do chores, and he fears NOTHING. He wants to be close to humans when we're shooting on the firing range, when we're brush hogging the pasture, and when we're trying to empty the muck wagon.
