JDW | Apple iPad 3 (2012), Siri Dictation in English and Japanese @JDW- | Uploaded March 2012 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
The only unfortunate part about Siri on the new iPad is that you can't ask it questions -- it's only dictation. Apple doesn't think iPad owners will always have a net connection, so they decided to limit Siri to dictation only. However, with all the free WiFi hotspots around these days, who doesn't have a net connection, even with the WiFi-only iPad? Nevertheless, I am still impressed with English and Japanese dictation, which works fine even with my Americanized Japanese accent.
