If you want to dress your valet up, you can use contact shelf paper from the dollar store. 2 rolls of wood veneer paper were enough to cover the whole thing.
This classes up your nightstand and makes it easy to clean. The contact paper sticks to the corrugated plastic signs just fine.

This has been a project on my mind for a while, but it's always nice to see it brought to life!

Inspired by @paulwelkinsdiy and his use of plastic signs in much of his work!
