Plot - Thumbelina is a low-born engaged to another of her status but carries on a secret affair with Princess Anya. One night Thumbelina decides to surprise Anya in the palace, but they are discovered. While daring to fight back, Anya is killed by one of the guards that tries to subdue her. Thumbelina is left grief-stricken and mourns Anya, still missing her even when she is walking down the aisle towards her future husband.
