Catching all the mountain chicken frogs before their annual health check is a sweaty job. It’s both crowded and hot in the enclosures where it is just over 30 degrees and the humidity levels are high - all in an effort to mimic Caribbean conditions. Even though Kristofer might think it's a bit too warm, the mountain chicken frogs seem to like it – last year we had a record number of young and several clutches by each couple which is important if we’re going to save this species that has basically disappeared into the wild.
