Nothing is more hellish and brutal and harrowing as Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Jokes aside, this was my light-hearted experiment to combine my love of both the Animal Crossing and DOOM franchise music! Animal Crossing has dozens of warm, cutesy, and even a bit out-there writing that can make for a really wild soundtrack - I thought a lot of that might play well with DOOM's instrumentation! Using as much 8 string, dark bolstering synths, and more edit-heavy riffs, I wanted to convert AC to Mick Gordon's brilliant sound without simply distorting the melodies and calling it a day. The end result is a lot less polished perhaps than my usual videos, but now more than ever I hope we can unite with the DOOMxAnimal Crossing crossover phenomenon right now!
