Valorous (or the Song of Achilles) is an original composition for the ancient lyre by Lina Palera, taking its name from a late 15th-century Latin word, "valorōsus" or "valor," meaning "heroic." The melody is inspired by Greek mythology and the story of Achilles and his legendary mentor, centaur Chiron, who taught him how to play the lyre and, at the same time, how to be an effective warrior.
In this video, Lina performs on the Lyre of Olympus, masterfully handcrafted in Greece by the LUTHIEROS family.
