Meet Marinos Romeos Calotychos, a Cypriot artist who recently discovered the ancient lyre and began his journey as a lyre player with Lina Palera of LyreAcademy.com.
He sings an ancient Greek poem from Anthologia Palatina, set to music by him for an ancient lyre as part of his studies. Composition is among the many different things that LyreAcademy’s students practice to master their lyre playing.

Marinos Romeos Calotychos is a multilingual foreign language professor in Cyprus, a poet, and an artist of versatile paintings full of symbols and multi-layered meanings. In his endeavor, he discovered the ancient lyre, became enchanted by its mysterious sound, and began to incorporate it into his art and everyday life.
