"Genesis" (or "The Song of the Seed") is an original composition for the ancient lyre by Thanasis Kleopas, the Wandering Melodist, accompanied by Tolis Preponis on the yayli tambur.
It is dedicated to nature and how things are meant to be, what it means to let a seed grow, and how the latter resembles the initial steps of human existence. It talks about love, respect, and nurture, three of the greatest ingredients necessary for anything beautiful to emerge.
Thanasis sings and plays on a custom LUTHIEROS ancient lyre, masterfully handcrafted for him in Greece by the Koumartzis family.

Thanasis Kleopas is an ancient lyre and guitar player with many performances around the world, such as in Thailand, Japan, India, France, Italy, Germany, and Switzerland. He combines traditional music with the ancient lyre and tries to produce emotion-provoking music. He performed in the past in churches, schools with kids with special needs, museums, and even fashion shows such as Dolce & Gabbana summer show in Milan.
