Light is the shadow of a god. ― Plato
"Sirius" is an original song for the ancient kithara, inspired by the brightest star in the night sky, a constant presence both in the ancient and the modern world. Its name comes from the Greek word "Σείριος" which literally means 'glowing' or 'scorching'.
It is a composition by Giorgio Sancristoforo, an Expert Artist for the European Commission and an ancient kithara player. He performs for us on a LUTHIEROS Kithara of Pluto, masterfully handcrafted in Greece by the LUTHIEROS family.
The video session took place inside the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera (Fine Arts Academy of Brera), the main public museum of arts in Milan, Italy.

🎙️ Who is Giorgio?
Giorgio is an artist and sound designer born in Milan. He is the engineer of numerous education and experimental music software used by both artists and teachers in more than 40 countries worldwide, such as Stanford’s CCRMA, the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, the Royal College of Music of Stockholm, the TUFTS University, the San Diego City College, the Centro National de las Artes of Mexico City, to name a few. What's more, he is an expert artist of the European Commission.
