This year already (2019) we've lost two of our wider community's "Elders" or authors/teachers who have influenced many people's practices: DJ Conway and Raven Grimassi. I wanted to do something to acknowledge them, and all the others who have "crossed the veil" as we say, as well as those who are still alive today, who we can still learn from (and even follow some on social media!). Every time one of our community leaders dies, I see people say "Now they're really all gone." I definitely relate to feeling that way sometimes, but I also know it's far from true because of all the teachers still remaining who I, well... follow on social media lol. I wanted to show respect for some of those who have gone, and also acknowledge that we definitely have a large amount of amazing teachers from the "earlier generations" still around today.
As I mention in the video, this is far from an exhaustive list, and who we consider our "spiritual ancestors" will differ greatly depending on your path, since not everyone teaches every path or has influenced every individual path. Please share the names of the people who you consider your personal "craft elders" or spiritual ancestors in the comments, if you feel so called!

The youngest group of folks here (not in perfect order of age, obviously, the youngest is not last on the list) really are all the names from Bobcat on down to Thorn Coyle, all born in the 60s to early 70s. No one on this list was born after 1975. I felt that was getting into more "contemporary" teachers, people I would even consider my peers, and though there are certainly influential people among us today, that's not who I was aiming to acknowledge with this particular video. =)
