In 1997, Fox created an animation department and brought in Don Bluth to create a Disney Renaissance imitation film about a historical event and based on the Fox classic movie My Fair Lady. What we got was Anastasia, a beautiful film that doesn't tonally connect with anything it is attempting to copy. As a full length animated film, it's biggest contribution to culture is that most people just think Anastasia is a Disney movie. What do you think? Does it deserve the ranking I gave it on the Animated 100 list?
