After the Castle to Castle with Rat Race, an urban 10k sounded like a walk in the park... and one that I was very much looking forward to! Despite working with Up & Running for a little while now and having enjoyed a few visits to their Social Run Group, I hadn't actually raced in Darlington before.
Well consider that oversight well and truly corrected!
Couple of take aways from the event:
Darlo is hillier than you'd think!
Despite this, it's also faster than you'd think!
The crowds were spectacular support along the full length of the 2 x 5k lapped course!
If you've not ran this one before, get it in your diary for next year and pop in to see the guys at Up & Running whilst you're there!
Oh yeah, and sorry about the singing! I was far from in tune as I crossed the start line!
