This is a Motormouth couple car review of the all-new 2026 Nissan Sentra compact sedan.
The 2026 Nissan Sentra is powered by a 2L 4-cylinder with a CVT, 149 horsepower and 146 lb-ft of torque. This is a FWD model. The CVT has been retuned for 2026 to deliver a more natural and smoother acceleration feel. The 2026 Nissan Sentra has 6% greater rigidity than the outgoing model, Nissan has improved on the sound level and the impact harshness from bumps. The 2026 Nissan Sentra SV and SR models feature drive mode selector with a sport mode option giving you a sportier steering response and sharper throttle responses.
The 2026 Nissan Sentra exterior design is more dynamic with sharp surfaces and an evolved V-motion grille. It comes standard with slim protector LED headlamps, LED taillamps, 16” wheels and a tire repair kit. The Sporty SR grade has LED signature lighting, 18” wheels, black exterior accents, a dark chrome V-motion grille, a SR specific rear bumper, a rear spoiler and a chrome exhaust finisher.
Designers of the new 2026 Nissan Sentra worked on creating an open cabin with a premium and modern feel. Alongside the dual screens, Nissan has kept physical buttons and the new infotainment screen is two times brighter for easier reading. Our test model has the available 12.3” digital driver display, 8-speaker Bose sound system, 6-way power driver’s seat with 4-way lumbar support and the leatherette sport seating. There’s also a more premium cloth available compared to the base model cloth upholstery. USB-C ports can be found in the front and rear. The Sentra now has an available wireless charger for 2026.
In Canada, the 2026 Nissan Sentra S starts at $27,869, SV Premium $30,969, SR $32,269, SR Premium $34,599. Includes freight, PDI and fees.
In the US, the 2026 Nissan Sentra S $22,600, SV $23,370. SR $25,000, SL $27,990.
