This is a Motormouth couple car review of the all-new 2027 Kia Seltos subcompact SUV.
There are two 2027 Kia Seltos powertrain options, the base engine is a 2L 4-cylinder with an intelligent variable transmission, 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. FWD and AWD options are available.
The more powerful 1.6L turbocharged 4-cylinder has an 8-speed automatic transmission, 190 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque, standard AWD.
A 2027 Kia Seltos hybrid will be coming towards the end of the year with an advanced 1.6L 4-cylinder hybrid engine that is paired to a 6-speed dual clutch transmission.
The 2027 Kia Seltos technology has been updated with a 12.3” digital driver display, 12.3” touchscreen with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto and a 5” climate display. Over the air updates are available and USB-C ports in both the first and second rows. Since the Seltos has grown you have more interior space with an inch more overall headroom giving you a bright greenhouse affect with good visibility. It has a modern feel with a squared off steering wheel, open centre console and clean lines. Cloth upholstery is standard, available Sofino leather seats which is Kia’s leatherette.
2027 Kia Seltos available features include, navigation, a head-up display, 360 surround view monitor, blind view monitor, a wireless charger, 8-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, power driver’s seat with memory, driver seat with premium relaxation function, a panoramic sunroof, heated rear seats and a smart power liftgate.
The 2027 Kia Seltos offers 41.4” of front row legroom and 39” of second row legroom which is almost an inch more than the outgoing model.
The 2027 Kia Seltos cargo space behind the second row is 27.8 cubic feet and overall cargo space is 64.2 cubic feet. There is an available two-step foldable luggage board that offers more storage solutions.
