This is a Motormouth couple car review of the all-new 2027 Porsche Cayenne, Electric, luxury SUV.
We are never disappointed to get behind the wheel of a Porsche!
This time it’s the ALL-NEW 2027 Porsche Cayenne Electric, we had the opportunity to drive
one for a few hours at a local event.
All 2027 Porsche Cayenne Electric models have a 113 kWh battery, standard AWD. The base model we are driving has up to 435 horsepower and up to 616 lb-ft of torque with up to 643 km/399 miles of range.
2027 Porsche Cayenne Electric S up to 657 horsepower and up to 797 lb-ft of torque with up to 653 km/406 miles of range.
The 2027 Porsche Cayenne Electric Turbo up to 1,139 horsepower and up to 1,106 lb-ft of torque with up to 624 km/388 miles of range.
All range is based on the European test cycle, the North American numbers have not been released yet.
The 2027 Porsche Cayenne Electric comes standard with adaptive air suspension with Porsche active suspension management and I would say this model is tuned more for comfort, it glides over the bumps in the road, it is comfortable, quick and quiet, yet the steering is sharp making those twisty roads very fun to drive on.
The new 2027 Porsche Cayenne Electric display has a blend of physical buttons, including a volume roller. There’s a standard 14.25” digital driver display, 12.25” OLED touchscreen and an available 14.9” passenger screen. The available panoramic sunroof can transition between clear and opaque at the touch of a button and the front part opens, the rear is fixed.
This 2027 Porsche Cayenne Electric is not inexpensive, in Canada it has an MSRP of $131,300, Cayenne S Electric $142,600, Cayenne Turbo Electric $178,300. Price as tested $150,770 CAD (MSRP).
In the US, Cayenne Electric $109,000, Cayenne S Electric $126,300, Cayenne Turbo Electric $163,000.
The 2027 Porsche Cayenne Electric comes with a 9.6 kW onboard charger, available 19.2 kW hour charger. This EV is compatible with an 800-volt charging architecture with charging speeds up to 390 kW. With a DC fast charger, it will charge from 10% to 80% in 16 minutes. The Cayenne is equipped with the North American Charging Port Standard. This is the first Porsche to offer an available charging ground pad and it can tow 7,716 pounds.
