Friendly Review of the new AmpliFi Beta Web Controller

The new beta web controller allows you to upload and create a floor plan using different building materials so that you can simulate the coverage of your wifi equipment so you can better place them. You can place each device that you own into the simulation. You can select to see how the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz signals will perform. The beta tool does have some drawbacks. You can only use devices that you own, you can only use each device once, you can only use devices that are currently online, and it doesn't take into account for the connection between the devices acting if all of them have a wired backhaul. I'll be interested to see where this tool ends up after it is out of beta. Overall it is useful and seemed to show results that were similar to when I tested the real devices.
In addition, you can also see the throughput and devices connected to each of your wifi devices as well.
