Great use of Amiga 500's 32 colors (can have more, but 32 is standard) and a few 880K floppy disks. Just like the Dragon's Lair ones. Sure, nothing like the arcade of course LOL, but still good for what it is.
I didn't read the whole manual, so dunno if it's mentioned there, but probably. The computer during the auto-play mode got higher score than me, so I assume the closer to the last moment you press, the more score you get. I just pressed whenever I could sometimes super early.

06:09 - Here's another thing I decided to include as it doesn't contain all the beeps. "The game can auto-play by itself if you press P to pause gameplay as Borf is attacking Dexter, then ype "dodemodexter", then press Fire + [Enter]. Press P to resume game play. Note: This code may need to be enabled with only one life remaining. Some versions do not require Fire or [Enter] to be pressed." For me it was enough to type "dodemodexter" on the "menu" and start the game. Might need an enter press after typing it, forgot.

Santa Run is a free Christmas game that was created in 2020 in seven days for all Commodore Amiga fans. Its also a score-based game, and thus each run will be short. All you have to do is to reach the end of the street and you will have completed the game.
I wasnt gonna record this one as its pretty short, but after checking some of the recordings of this game on YouTube, I decided to do it anyway, as most of those videos are streeeetched so wide, like forced 16:9 on a closer to 4:3 game so nothing kept aspect ratio. Some also had sound delay, bad sound settings in the emulator (WinUAE, I guess), wrong frame rate, glitchy outro text and bad picture quality.
I did many runs and eventually got a decent score of 75k, until I tried it with autofire, which helped a lot to get a higher score :). Precision/accuracy + autofire = ftw.
I found some bugs tho. Like, the title screen says pressing right is hard difficulty, which (as mentioned on the download page: https://mcgeezer.itch.io/santa-run-2020) gives only 100 gifts and 5 special Elf Jumps, and you get more points for reaching further into the game. Well, just like easy mode, you still get 150 gifts and I didnt notice a difference in points when getting further into the game. Only difference I noticed was the fewer Elf Jumps.
Another bug is some chimneys wont accept gifts, so you waste them if you try. No, it wasnt an alignment problem.
Yet another bug is the multiplier from chaining gifts doesnt always break when you miss a gift.
One final bug is the final score in the end. Hiscore didnt match my final score, as it seems to update the hiscore about 1-2 frames after the main score (score to the left). So, as I got to the end of the level at the same frame when the main score just updated, it never updated the hiscore.
Not a bug, but something I dislike as I like smooth stuff. The scrolling text in the end is not scrolling smoothly. it moves upwards at like 1 pixel every 4 frames, and does this for about 6-7 pixels. The next pixel movement moves at 2 pixels, then back to the normal 1 pixel after 4 frames. So, if smooth looks like: - - - - - - - - - -, this occurring non-smoothness moves like - - - - - - - -.
Doesnt seem to be an emulation issue either, and every video on YouTube of this game had the same... hiccups.
Anyway, despite my nitpicks, its a fun little game and can be quite addicting :)

I chose the turtle speed as its the more natural/realistic movement speed. In the German version I picked the bird, which was very fast. I didnt know at first these were the game speeds, or I would have picked turtle in that version as well

00:37 - Weird he says one of the things twice. I dont know French, so maybe its supposed to be like that.
01:26 - Its always in the middle drawer, but clicked on all other things first that had a reaction.
03:23 - They can be clicked on in any order.
05:93 - This loops 6 times for some reason (wasnt loading). Was thinking of editing out 4 of them or something, but kept it as maybe it has some sort of significance to the movie. I know Hook is afraid of clocks, maybe 6 oclock is extra bad or something, dunno.
Losing all lives on any level just resets it so you get all lives back, but only once. Next time you lose all lives, its the same as if you completed them normally, except on the last one (the ship) where the girl is crying instead (same screen as 05:27), then the flying boat and Fin (The End, ofc... or more literally Finished) as normal.
Some screens with the green border/frame has an empty vertical line of pixels on the left side of the screen for some reason. Not a cropping error.
The differences between the German and French versions are the languages (ofc) and the title tunes. Also, the one and only French version I could find had a crack intro thingy and stuff. Couldnt find a clean version like the German one (.ipf, unmodified). The cursor in the French version was a weird looking red arrow, which looks the same in-game as in AmigaDOS, so I replaced it with the one from the German version.")

Just to briefly sum up what the story is about, I found this somewhere, probably accurate and good enough:
The story is a classical mystery setting: two friends go hitchhiking, and since its raining so bad, they rest in a small hotel. One of the two starts to drink till hes totally out of control. He stumbles into the wrong room, gets knocked out and wakes up next to a corpse. Now, you have to prove you didnt do anything.")

I didnt plan on uploading this, as I just randomly picked this game to test a new way to do save states, so theres like 3 tiny sound hiccups within the first 3 mins, after that I had the kinks mostly ironed out. As I still had the avi/ss source files, I just went back and finished the rest of the game (was too lazy to play from the start to get rid of the hiccups) and edited/encoded/uploaded it anyway.")

Yeah, nothing special. Decent title tune tho.
The ingame title says X-masTime, but I wrote X-Mas Time instead as it looks better :)
I noticed theres a short looping ingame tune if pressing F1. By default its only sound effects. So, turned on music on level 1, and off for the rest of the levels.
The game seems to only have 7 levels, and repeats from level 1 every 7 levels. Played to level 15 anyway and then killed myself. Yeah, had 3 lives and got game over immediately because I cut the rest of the deaths.")
