I've now uploaded a bunch of matches as a lot of people have been asking... nay, DEMANDING that I upload some gameplay videos because they want to see how a 4000h Mercy OTP plays. To which I always reply that it would mostly not be anything interesting to watch as I mostly just pocket someone, or goof around. I'm not a tryhard - hence no comp because it wouldn't be fair to the rest of the team, and also I don't do the OP Pharmercy (and man do all these entitled Pharah players get angry when I don't pocket them) or even use my blaster (well, I don't use it often tho, I mean, 4 million total damage is nothing after 4000h).
So here ya go, a bunch of matches... nothing special, but it's something. BTW, these videos are mostly raw/unedited matches as I was too lazy, so no fancy editing or even removing "dead time" between matches. Just skip forward when needed :)
Poop frame rate cuz of bad recording settings at the time.

I didnt plan on uploading this, as I just randomly picked this game to test a new way to do save states, so theres like 3 tiny sound hiccups within the first 3 mins, after that I had the kinks mostly ironed out. As I still had the avi/ss source files, I just went back and finished the rest of the game (was too lazy to play from the start to get rid of the hiccups) and edited/encoded/uploaded it anyway.")

Yeah, nothing special. Decent title tune tho.
The ingame title says X-masTime, but I wrote X-Mas Time instead as it looks better :)
I noticed theres a short looping ingame tune if pressing F1. By default its only sound effects. So, turned on music on level 1, and off for the rest of the levels.
The game seems to only have 7 levels, and repeats from level 1 every 7 levels. Played to level 15 anyway and then killed myself. Yeah, had 3 lives and got game over immediately because I cut the rest of the deaths.")

Back in the day when I was a kid (30+ years ago), this was one of my favorite puzzler games (+ the other two games in the series as well). Was so much fun figuring out how to advance to the next level, and seeing all the ways you can hurt your buddies when you do something wrong. I mostly just went straight from A to B in this playthrough as there would be too many funny fail-animations to show + cant do too many or its game over as you have an energy bar, and some funny fails kills you so its game over immedately. So, if youve not played this game before, I highly recommend doing so, so you can experience all those funny things. But I do not recommend running the Amiga version on a stock Amiga 500 (but with 1mb memory ofc, 512kb/512kb) as most levels ran soooo slow. I first longplayed it on an A500, edited, encoded, all done, but man, so slow, and on an Amiga 1200 sound often didnt play when queued because the 1200 has different speeds/timings. If the 1200 was slowed down, more sounds would play, but not every time. Theres the WHDLoad version, but I always try to avoid doing any longplay with a WHDLoad version of a game as it doesnt like savestates, but had no choice, so redid the longplay with WHDLoad and all in one go without states. Was kinda fun to put my memory to the test :)
Not only do WHDLoad games not like savestates, but it sometimes skip stuff, like images or whatever because it loads too fast, and sometimes things just doesnt... seem right compared to running it off a floppy disk. But whats good about the WHDLoad version of games (besides mainly loading faster and no disk swapping because it runs off a harddrive) is games runs fine on an Amiga 1200, so no timing/speed issues. Thus I could run this game in way faster/smoother speeds as it would run fine on A1200 speeds compared to running it off floppy disks on the same machine/system. This second longplay attempt became 13 mins shorter because of how much faster they were walking and doing things.
I look forward to doing the other two games in the series as well. They are longer and even have music.")

Great use of Amiga 500s 32 colors (can have more, but 32 is standard) and a few 880K floppy disks. Just like the Dragons Lair ones. Sure, nothing like the arcade of course LOL, but still good for what it is.
I didnt read the whole manual, so dunno if its mentioned there, but probably. The computer during the auto-play mode got higher score than me, so I assume the closer to the last moment you press, the more score you get. I just pressed whenever I could sometimes super early.
