Crazy hard, or I just suck. Can't fail too many times or you can't play the next level/stage/part/whatever. And if you fail 8 times ("cuts"), it's game over. So while not getting too many cuts or lose too much health AND are fast enough so the timer doesn't run out, you'll make it to the next level/stage/part/whatever. Fail and you have to restart from the beginning of the current level.
Only found one playthrough/longplay of this game, but he didn't include the last level for some reason (edit: found the reason, I think, putting it in the last paragraph), and yet he got the "great job !"/"the end" parts. Without the manual I would have no idea how to finish the last level. I kept dying to the rocket as I couldn't outrun it, so looked in the manual and it said I had to press fire to jump out of the flying thingy. After that I kept failing the landing, became game over so many times. Again, checked the manual and apparently I had to press up + fire (or whatever it was) at the right moment to land properly, I never managed to do it, kept failing... but what worked was just spamming fire and all directions randomly like crazy.
According to Hall of Light (hol.abime.net/263) this game only contains two of the three levels of the C64 version. But the version I longplayed has all three. So maybe the player I mentioned earlier used an older version. I can't find any info about a newer or different Amiga versions. Seems to be only one, or the different disks in the Tosec are not properly labeled. Anyway, HoL should update their info. Even the manual mentions all three levels in both C64 and Amiga version.

The body of the famous archaeologist Edward Halifax was discovered yesterday morning in the jungle of Yucatan, not far from Chichen Itza. The cause of the death remain unexplained. The old scientist, missing for more than 3 years, had carried on him a Maya parchment mentioning the existence of a mysterious fetish. Professor Michael Fairbanks, his young pupil, traveled by the first plane for Mexico with the intention to continue research.
You guessed it, you’re playing Michael Fairbanks and it’s your duty, nay privilege, to unravel the mystery of the Mayas.
So, you buy/sell/trade to get that you need, and if it wasnt for a walkthrough, I would have no idea what to do in some of the parts of this game, as some stuff didnt make sense to me, or a couple of others Ive read reviews from. Some of the stuff you find try to give clues for what to do, but they can still be way too vague and cryptic that probably most people still wouldnt understand what to do. But... Im not a bright person anyway, so maybe its just me :P
You can die in several ways, and usually a picture of what happened is shown. Like driving off a bridge shows a picture of you doing just that. But most deaths seem to just show the one I added to the end of the video (the best one imo), which is why I just picked that one, as I couldnt be bothered to collect all of them. The text at the bottom of the death picture got messed up as I forgot to apply the correct settings/resolution. Its supposed to be pixelated, but not like that.
Not too bad for a game released in 1989. It kinda reminds me of Colorado, which is not strange as both games are by Silmarils.")

This game was on the Wrong Way Back CD32 CD, and was just an .exe file labeled deep.exe (with its deep.abk, so yes, AMOS). I longplayed both exactly 1 year ago, but didnt upload them until now. Kinda didnt feel like longplaying this one as its so small, no proper title, maybe not even finished, but thought fuck it, might as well. Couldnt find any info about it anywhere. Did think about sending a message to the dude who made the CD/main game, but never bothered.
When starting it I was met with a boot screen that required a password, so I read inside the executable and found some words and tried them out. Typing sleepsickness or even sleep sickness (as both are included and accepted) displays that the access code is dallosreport, but typing dallosreport (nope, not dallasreport) just throws password error. Another couple of words I found in the executable was the maze, and THAT seems to be the code to enter the game. So dont know why they accept other different things that are just nonsense stuff.
Ive not heard Dallos before so googled it just out of interest, seems theres an anime TV series named that about space.
Maybe the intended title for the game might be Dallos Report, dunno.
The text is parsed slowly on the boot screen, as its the speed it shows the letters after typing them, no matter how fast I typed.")

Great use of Amiga 500s 32 colors (can have more, but 32 is standard) and a few 880K floppy disks. Just like the Dragons Lair ones. Sure, nothing like the arcade of course LOL, but still good for what it is.
I didnt read the whole manual, so dunno if its mentioned there, but probably. The computer during the auto-play mode got higher score than me, so I assume the closer to the last moment you press, the more score you get. I just pressed whenever I could sometimes super early.

05:37 - Some type of trailer, not part of the game. Was on its own floppy disk called Space Ace (demo-rolling), so thought I would include it as well.
06:09 - Heres another thing I decided to include as it doesnt contain all the beeps. The game can auto-play by itself if you press P to pause gameplay as Borf is attacking Dexter, then ype dodemodexter, then press Fire + [Enter]. Press P to resume game play. Note: This code may need to be enabled with only one life remaining. Some versions do not require Fire or [Enter] to be pressed. For me it was enough to type dodemodexter on the menu and start the game. Might need an enter press after typing it, forgot.")

Santa Run is a free Christmas game that was created in 2020 in seven days for all Commodore Amiga fans. Its also a score-based game, and thus each run will be short. All you have to do is to reach the end of the street and you will have completed the game.
I wasnt gonna record this one as its pretty short, but after checking some of the recordings of this game on YouTube, I decided to do it anyway, as most of those videos are streeeetched so wide, like forced 16:9 on a closer to 4:3 game so nothing kept aspect ratio. Some also had sound delay, bad sound settings in the emulator (WinUAE, I guess), wrong frame rate, glitchy outro text and bad picture quality.
I did many runs and eventually got a decent score of 75k, until I tried it with autofire, which helped a lot to get a higher score :). Precision/accuracy + autofire = ftw.
I found some bugs tho. Like, the title screen says pressing right is hard difficulty, which (as mentioned on the download page: https://mcgeezer.itch.io/santa-run-2020) gives only 100 gifts and 5 special Elf Jumps, and you get more points for reaching further into the game. Well, just like easy mode, you still get 150 gifts and I didnt notice a difference in points when getting further into the game. Only difference I noticed was the fewer Elf Jumps.
Another bug is some chimneys wont accept gifts, so you waste them if you try. No, it wasnt an alignment problem.
Yet another bug is the multiplier from chaining gifts doesnt always break when you miss a gift.
One final bug is the final score in the end. Hiscore didnt match my final score, as it seems to update the hiscore about 1-2 frames after the main score (score to the left). So, as I got to the end of the level at the same frame when the main score just updated, it never updated the hiscore.
Not a bug, but something I dislike as I like smooth stuff. The scrolling text in the end is not scrolling smoothly. it moves upwards at like 1 pixel every 4 frames, and does this for about 6-7 pixels. The next pixel movement moves at 2 pixels, then back to the normal 1 pixel after 4 frames. So, if smooth looks like: - - - - - - - - - -, this occurring non-smoothness moves like - - - - - - - -.
Doesnt seem to be an emulation issue either, and every video on YouTube of this game had the same... hiccups.
Anyway, despite my nitpicks, its a fun little game and can be quite addicting :)
