Let’s get started with AMD, So, the AM4 socket is finally on its last legs. We now have the last CPU released for the platform aka the Ryzen 7 5800X3D.
By the way, AMD, Small tangent, Why show the new 3D V cache technology on a 5900X, the previous king of gaming, still have a 15% boost in gaming performance, and just not release a 5900 X3D? Tangent over.
So, the Zen 3 Based 5800X3D is the final opus of AM4… Does that mean we jump to Zen 4 for the next generation? Well, yeah, but it looks like Zen 3 isn’t finished evolving. AMD announced Rembrandt, their Zen 3+ Based APU’s for notebooks at CES this year, and it looks like this technology is jumping to the AM5 socket. And for good reasons.
Paul alcorn from toms hardware had the opportunity to talk to David McAfee, the Corporate VP and GM of the Client Channel business. And there were some interesting tidbits in here. For example, when talking about APU’s, Mcaffe said the DDR5 is the optimal choice to pair with the RDNA 2 engine. Which means that a DDR5 platform is required, hence Socket AM5. So, no more APU’s for AM4.
Another really big point in the conversation was AMD’s weariness on the supply and availability of DDR5. Mcafee said: "One of the dynamics that we do think about a great deal is how and when to introduce that AM5 ecosystem and ensure that the DDR5 supply, as well as pricing of DDR5 memory, is mature and something that's easily attainable for an end-user,"

![Ryzen 7000 Slows Down the RTX 4000! UPDATE YOUR BIOS!
Today we discuss a bios update that comes up to fix issues between AMD AM5 motherboards for Ryzen 7000 CPUs and Nvidia RTX 4000 series GPU’s. It seems like this update tackles a PCIE Slowdown issue on some X670 Motherboards. We also talk about the RTX 4090, RTX 4080 and RTX 4070( I refuse to call it a 4080) performance claims by Nvidia. 500+ FPS in overwatch 2 and that is without the help of frame generation of DLSS 3. ALSO, I GOT AN intel ARC A770!!

Let’s get started with some CPU news. The war of the next generation is coming quite soon. On the AMD side, the company has been talking a whole lot about their Ryzen 7000 series based on the Zen 4 architecture. We know the average IPC increase, we’ve seen some phenomenal clock speeds in gaming, and AMD gave us some idea of what we can expect. Over a 15% increase in Single-threaded performance and Robert Hallock mentioned a 40% increase in the multi-threaded scores. All of these numbers are super impressive, but will it be enough to beat intel again?
I mean intel has been working on raptor lake, but the company hasnt really been advertising this new architecture that much. Instead, we’re left with information coming from leakers and benchmarks of engineering samples. Still, it looks promising. Especially with the leak we have today.
This information comes from Benchleaks over on Twitter, and its a geekbench 5 run of the upcoming 13900K. I just want to add a little grain of salt here before we get into it, because the run does have a warning saying that the timer on the system had a problem so the score is invalid, but I dont think we should discount it completely. In this benchmark, the 13900k scored 2133 points in the single-core section and 23 701 points in the multi-threaded one. That’s an excellent score.
