Let’s get started with intel. So, last week, they finally introduced their discrete graphics… For laptops. Specifically the ARC Alchemist Family of GPUs. In it, we have the Arc 3 A350 and 370M, the Arc 5 A550M and the Arc 7 series which has the A730 and 770M. If you look at the specifications of the Arc 7 series, you can see 2 things. First, the Graphics clock is pretty low. The a730 is listed with 1100Mhz and the 770M with 1650Mhz. We dont know if this is considered the base or the boost clock but all in all, 1650Mhz, while Low isn't that out of the ordinary. Plus, there's a wide range on the TDP meaning that this could just be the minimum clock speed for the graphics chip. For ARC 7, in the TDP department, we see a range from 80 to 150W depending on the model. But why am I bringing this up?
Well, a couple of days ago, Intel released a video talking about intel Arc Control. Their software for their GPUs. And in that video, we saw the System metrics panel that gives you information like clock speeds and such. And the GPU that was running at that point had a clock speed of 2250Mhz and a TDP of 175w while at 99% utilization. Plus, the memory clock at 1093 suggests an effective clock of 17.5Gbps.
Basically, This could be the clock speeds we see for a discrete card. Maybe not the top of the line model, but the TDP is out of range of all the Mobile laptop chips. I mean sure, it could be just a faked screengrab for the purpose of this presentation, but the video looks like it was made in front of the computer itself with the host giving the tour live. What do you guys think ? Let me know down below!

Let’s get started with some CPU news. The war of the next generation is coming quite soon. On the AMD side, the company has been talking a whole lot about their Ryzen 7000 series based on the Zen 4 architecture. We know the average IPC increase, we’ve seen some phenomenal clock speeds in gaming, and AMD gave us some idea of what we can expect. Over a 15% increase in Single-threaded performance and Robert Hallock mentioned a 40% increase in the multi-threaded scores. All of these numbers are super impressive, but will it be enough to beat intel again?
I mean intel has been working on raptor lake, but the company hasnt really been advertising this new architecture that much. Instead, we’re left with information coming from leakers and benchmarks of engineering samples. Still, it looks promising. Especially with the leak we have today.
This information comes from Benchleaks over on Twitter, and its a geekbench 5 run of the upcoming 13900K. I just want to add a little grain of salt here before we get into it, because the run does have a warning saying that the timer on the system had a problem so the score is invalid, but I dont think we should discount it completely. In this benchmark, the 13900k scored 2133 points in the single-core section and 23 701 points in the multi-threaded one. That’s an excellent score.

![Intels Raptor Lake Will Have The FIRST 6GHz CPU!
Let’s get started with Nvidia! Now this one is a bit of a nothing burger when it comes to news. Yes, that’s a word. Anyways, the box art and pictures of a next-generation Zotac card just popped up, and its of the RTX 4090. Now, first of all, this GPU looks pretty sick. I kinda got tired of angular design over the past generations, so this flowy, wavy, round design is definitely appreciated. But the second thing that caught my eye is the new font!
The Geforce font has been the same for a decade now. Literally since the GTX 600 series from 2012. And now, its this new updated one. Its a lot more bubbly than I expected honestly and I kinda like it. Once again, a tiny piece of news, but I found it interesting.
Moving one, let’s talk intel, the company is currently holding its tech tour of 2022 in Israel. And they shared some pretty interesting info on the next-gen of cpu’s. First, Raptor lake is literally a baby compared to other architectures. It seems like intel knew that delays would happen for their meteor lake processors, That’s the chip that uses intel’s tile or chiplet system, this one, and because of that, they started working on raptor lake.
Raptor lake wasn’t even on the roadmap until 2 years ago, which is an insanely short amount of time to develop a cpu. Thanks to the backward compatibility with alder lake though, raptor lake was born.
Dr. Ian Cutress who is currently at the event also shared some extra info on the performance numbers. Apparently, raptor lake would have a 41% improvement in multi-core performance, and a 15% improvement when it comes to single-threaded workloads. Given that Intel isn’t changing the architecture as much and are really just doing efficiency tweaks and bumping the frequency, it doesnt look like they’re sandbagging.

![Only ONE RTX 4000 Series GPU Coming In 2022?!
Lets get started with Nvidia. The next generation of GPUs has been quite the topic of discussion in the last couple of months. We heard that Nvidia has a monster of a GPU that was tested with an 800W TDP and that AMD has an RDNA 3 model that is way bigger than expected with 2 graphics chiplet. Something that we previously thought wasnt in the cards.
Anyways, lately, you might have heard that Nvidia is kind of in trouble. Because of the crypto crash and all of the used cards that flooded the market, they essentially have an overstock of RTX 3000 series chips. So, they tried to to cut orders at TSMC for their 5nm process, but TSMC said, Nah. You ordered the capacity, you’re going to use it. And that brought on the rumor that we wouldnt see RTX 4000 series GPUs in 2022, and that they could be delayed up to a year.
Actually, that specific rumor came from JayzTwoCents. It seems he’s been getting a lot of flack lately for some of the things he said but anyways.
The leakosphere over on Twitter are kind of partially agreeing with him. Now though, with the crash and more information, It looks like there is in fact a delay. According to greymon 55, we’re only getting one GPU this year. The rest are going to show up early next year. Specifically, Only one model of the AD102 chip will make it in 2022. AD102 is the highest-end chip so think RTX 4090. The rest of the lineup would apparently come in next year.
So that’s for Nvidia’s side, what about AMD? Well, because how these 2 are the leading companies, AMD can simply wait and see. If Nvidia doesnt release anything major, this gives the chance to AMD to sell more RX 6000 stock without a new release. Its a simple duopoly.
