I got a new reverb today (the wonderful Specular Tempus by GFI System). I wanted to try to make a song with it before I figured out how to really use and before the sun set. Everything was recorded live on a broken Microkorg XL running into the Specular Tempus and looped into a Boss RC-30. No other effects of post processing were used. We recorded this new sample pack with 150 homemade percussive sounds to help you make homemade beats.
There are Ableton, Kontakt and OP-1 patches alongside all of the individual sample files too.
You can plug the wav files into any other DAW or even an SP-404 too.
I can imagine a lot of these sounds working well on chill beats, or layered over more standard percussion in electro tracks to give them more texture. Hopefully they can help your beats feel like home.
