A combination of unusual alternate tuning, percussive picking hand techniques and syncopated rhythms are a great combination for dynamic, full-sound solo acoustic guitar compositions.
In the first of a two-part video lesson, Elixir Strings artist Amber Russell takes you through her tune “Falling Out of Love”, which incorporates all of these approaches. It’s a beautiful song and a great way to learn some quite advanced techniques to take into your own playing.
