Employing arpeggios in solos can add a sophisticated edge to your playing, allowing you to outline chords and break out from straightforward scale-based patterns. And although they might sound daunting, arpeggios are actually simple to start exploring.
In this easy to follow video lesson, Elixir Strings artist Matt Wheeler demonstrates a two-note per string major 7th arpeggio that’s easy to move up and down the neck. He’ll also explain how to move just one note to turn it into a minor arpeggio shape that you can repeat across the strings.
