Amazing Spider-Man 3 was the proposed sequel for Amazing Spider-Man 2 and part of what Sony intended to become their own Spider-Man Cinematic Universe. This is the first in my inevitable series of attempts to recreate the film using proposed actors and characters. I'm sorry this trailer took a while to make, but I literally had to balance four jobs for a few weeks and it got delayed.
The film was cancelled for a collection of reasons, including a lukewarm critical response to Amazing Spider-Man 2, the firing of Andrew Garfield, and a deal with Marvel Studios to include Spider-Man Captain America Civil War.
For this trailer I wanted to focus on the villain Rhino played by Paul Giamatti. In an interview with Collider, Giamatti confirmed he'd be reprising his role in Amazing Spider-Man 3 and stated he was signed on for two films.
To be honest, I felt that both Rhino and Giamatti had been wasted in Amazing Spider-Man 2 and I wanted to do them a bit more justice in this video. Also I think a lot of people would like Sony to finally finish the fight between Spider-Man and Rhino.
