Twenty-nine years ago, Rock City Gardens in Lookout Mountain, GA (Just outside of Chattanooga) started The Enchanted Garden of Lights. It has grown ever since to what it is today, with over a million lights sprawled out over the paths of Rock City.
This year, it started on November 17th and runs until January 6th. Tickets are only sold online and sell out quickly a day or two of each day. The days prior to Christmas sell out faster than others.
Each night has timed entries, and you won't be let in prior to the time on your ticket (that you pick when purchasing them). This is to throttle the number of guests in the park so as not to flood the area with people.
There is one main path that starts at the original 1930s entrance to the gardens. From there, about 5 paths fkow off the main path to various areas of lights and attractions.
At Lover's Leap, the snack bar is open and selling hot cocoa, apple cider and a few adult beverages for those who need a little "help" after listening to kids complaining about how they're tired or cold. LOL
Both gift shops are fully staffed and ready to sell you various Rock City Souvenirs and momentos of your holiday outing. As well as a few other side vendors selling their wares.
Overall, I'm highly glad I made the 7hr trip to come see this with my family. None of us had been to The Enchanted Garden of Lights. I can assure you, we will be back again soon.
