You will see amazing kites and sights at the Washington State International Kite Festival. I hadn’t thought much about kite flying before we visited this giant kite event, but I was blown away by the grand spectacle and creativity on display, and I would return in a heartbeat. The Washington State Kite Festival is held each year in August on the Pacific coast, which is an ideal location, not simply for the strong winds, but the visual of these fantastic kites set against the ocean backdrop is pretty mind blowing.
