My 1.0 Purist creator contest had a TON of fantastic entries! This showcase shows off 5 of them, as well as my thoughts on each levels pros and cons:

0:00 chose path by MtEverist | 135878466
Pros: This level is really 2 levels in one! After the first section you can either take the top or the bottom route (both showed in this video), and both routes feature fun and readable gameplay! I found myself particularly in love with the bottom routes designs and theme. There is also some really nice music representation in the ending sections.
Cons: Due to the object limit, the level didn't really have a chance to shine visually. Having 2 separate routes means more difficulty keeping the designs fresh and interesting. There were also a few gameplay spots that didn't feel as refined as they could have been (mostly on the top route).

2:06 Dried Out by koav | 136136672
Pros: Definitely and underrated contest banger. FANTASTIC gameplay paired with some really well done music sync keeps the energy high and the level fun even when played again and again! The level is also the entire length of the song, an impressive feat for its object limit!
Cons: Does not stand out visually due to its use of the classic 1.0 style. Creativity also suffers due to this as well. I think some more interesting design ideas could go a long way with this without taking too many objects :)

3:30 Deep In The Ocean by JUSTaMAFFIN | 137073121
Pros: What an amazing project visually! JUSTaMAFFIN managed to sell the beach/lighthouse/ocean theme present here with just 1.0 objects and no free rotate, as well as integrate very creative design ideas throughout! Ngl this is some of the best visual work from the Purist cc! Also features some really nice music sync! Due to all of this the level found its way into 3 hall of fames :o
Cons: The one thing this level lacked in was gameplay, which was unfortunately also the largest scored category. There was SO many chokepoints, from the lighthouse jumps to jellyfish pad issues to the pearl orb click. If the level's gameplay was cleaned up this very well could have scored top 10 D:

4:19 th3 h1lls h8ve ey3s by MrHappy18 | 136786119
Pros: The theme in this level is SO SO GOOD! It stands out from most 1.0 levels through brilliant creativity and visual execution, so much so that it became my personal favorite level using Cant Let Go :D
Cons: Like with Deep In The Ocean, there were a few gameplay problems in this level that kept back its score. Most of it regarded readability and concerned blind jumps. I also wish that the level was longer. Felt too short for how solid the quality was D:

5:21 Dry Mountain by FancyDoesGD | 136995080
Pros: Another example of incredible visual ideas and creative execution! I absolutely LOVED the journey up mountains to enter the Dragons Lair (with a live dragon at the end!). The level also had some pretty compelling sync overall.
Cons: This level felt demon in difficulty rather than insane (which wasn't allowed for the purist contest), and had some VERY unbalanced sections. I also really disliked how it ends on a blind jump.

![1.0 objects/features only | Tech Drive Circuit by Skullyhop (Geometry Dash 2.2)
[Level 4/7 of the GJJ collection]
This level uses only objects, triggers, and editor movements found from the 1.0 update with the exception of the song trigger. Although not from 1.0, robtop would splice up the songs he would plan on using to make it more suited for the game. Since this series is a parody off of the main 7 levels, I thought the usage of this trigger would be a fine exception to this stark limitation.
This level is also a sequel to my level Polar Plunge, which saw an incredible amount of support and 19 moderator sends! Thank you all so much for that! Due to being the 4th level in the series, this level uses features only found from the main level Dry Out, introducing both the yellow and blue gravity portals and using them creatively throughout the level. This very well may be my best 1.0 level yet, and its even been optimized down to under 60k objects! :D
Its recommended that you use Red for player color 1 when playing this level to help sell the Tech/Racing theme more. Other colors may look out of place, especially if its white or a color close to it. Thanks!
Through limitations one can find unlimited creativity~
I hope you enjoy Tech Drive Circuit!
Level 5 soon???

This level is also a sequel to my level Goodbye Summer. As such, this level uses features only found from the main level Polargeist, introducing the yellow jump ring used creatively for sync throughout the level. This is by far the most visually impressive 1.0 level I have created, and also has the most amount of objects used due to that (over 80k). I do think that it is worth it, though, and Ill try to keep the object count down for future 1.0 projects.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you use Light Blue for player color 1 when playing this level to help sell the icy theme more. Other colors may look out of place. Thanks!
