Day 3 of the alpaca shelter build: After completing days 1 & 2 where we installed the uprights and roof, we were joined on day 3 by 40+ students from Suffolk New College. Over the days build, the students created the wall framework, the door, and gates, clad the whole shelter, and also created feeders and scratchers.
Despite the morning thunderstorm, the team worked hard to get everything done, and by 4pm we had a fully functioning alpaca shelter.
When designing the shelter to the proposed budget, we took into consideration both keeper and animal use, with multiple options for access, management, and feeding.
A huge well done to the students, and thanks again to @falcon-timber for providing the materials for the build.
