And that's it, nine days at Blackpool Zoo working on the spider monkey island transformation are complete! It's been the kind of build that we absolutely love to do, although the thick mud and rain on most days have made it challenging. Interstingly, having to get all the materials across to the island, including the large poles, didn't really cause us too many problems once we got the pulley systems set up.
And here we are, complete. With a lovely tall large structure, loads of solid branching, roping, dynamic branching, resting/viewing areas and even some edging to the island, we are dead proud of how it has turned out and it actually makes the island look larger.
We even came back to see the spider monkeys be let out onto the island for the first time, but you'll have to wait for the final video in the series for that!
