hello potential friends! the clips at the beginning of this feature me being drunk in a bathroom at a party and then traveling home from said party. i am a hot mess, and the song is mostly about me being a hot mess when it comes to feelings anyway, so it seemed strangely relevant! i thought about changing out of that jacket thing because i've worn it in videos before, but the whole point is that i'm still in the exact same outfit and smudged makeup as the party, so i left it. also, look at me, attempting guitar! it's like watching a baby deer try to walk: adorable, but kind of dumb.
this is a feeling i haven't had in years, but it's one i still remember. this song isn't about anyone in particular, but takes inspiration from a couple real life things just to get that #honesty even if i'm pulling examples from platonic relationships lol
