A cover of All The Heavy Lifting by Mastodon, from their album 'The Hunter'.
The Hunter was a weird Mastodon album, being their first record that wasn't a concept album, but that didn't stop it from having some great songs!
This one is definitely my favourite, the the chunky riffs feel really heavy, and it's just a fun song to lock into the groove! For those interested, I didn't fancy putting a heavy gauge on a 6 string and tune it like how Mastodon do, but instead played it in 7 string A Standard and skipped the E string (or D string since it's all down a full step).
I also just love Troy's voice and vocal melodies on this one! I tried my best to sing in his more gritty style, but I'm not a great singer by any means. So if you choose to drop a harsh comment or some criticism, some feedback on how to improve would be greatly appreciated and I hope you enjoy the cover regardless!
