A rock/metal cover of 'Covenant Dance' from the video game Halo: Combat Evolved (Halo 1).
Halo has definitely been a fun game growing up, but admittedly I've only recently come to appreciate how well written the music is in the game, so expect more Halo covers in the future!
The arrangement was definitely fun to do, as it's mainly one synth riff in 6/8, and some synth/choir chords. This gave me a lot of room to play around and come up with lots of variations, such as the clean intro, heavier riffs, a key change and harmony leads!
I also decided to play drums on the softer first part of the song so that more realistic and dynamic feel comes through better, but the heavier sections is programmed, as I'm unfortunately not that skilled yet on drums!
Special shout out to Noble for the bass solo in there which he totally nailed! Definitely fun to work bass solos into covers when they work so that's definitely my favourite part of this song!
