Some filler while I finish up my school projects. I apologize for going silent for five months. Been developing my characters and working on some new stories I can’t wait to show!
This here is a subplot from my Warriors OC story, A Winter’s Heart. It’s not just WindClan and ThunderClan having drama. ShadowClan is also dealing with some serious issues during the plot. This is between two of ShadowClan’s herbalists (what I call medicine cats in my universe), Yellowstripe and Fallowmask. Fallowmask is a part time kit caretaker, and spends his free time in the herbalist den, working with the others, Sandsnap, Yellowstripe, and Daisypaw, Yellowstripe’s apprentice. Fallowmask and Yellowstripe were particularly close, with some believing they may even become mates in the future. However, Yellowstripe begins to suspect that her leader and deputy, Fiercestar and Gossamertail, are plotting to plant themselves in the WindClan/ThunderClan conflict, siding with ThunderClan. A good friend of the WindClan herbalist, Stormdodger, Yellowstripe knew that she had to do something.
Because Gossamertail was the weaker target, she targeted him when he fell ill, feeding him foxglove seeds. Unfortunately, her betrayal was revealed and when she called for Fallowmask’s support, fear kept him quiet. With her reputation in ShadowClan already on bad terms due to her behavior and personality, it didn’t take much for Fiercestar to exile her. Yellowstripe escaped to a nearby farm, where she was taken in by Roy, a loner who lived there.
The video takes place at the time when Fallowmask finds Yellowstripe, who is not happy to see him. Lashing out, she rebukes Fallowmask and reveals she is no longer Yellowstripe, but Foxglove.
In case anyone wonders, yes Fallowmask’s leaves were inspired by a clangen accessory. Being an herbalist, I figured that they would fit him best, instead of Foxglove.
