Understanding Philanthropy Across Cultures

Using questions developed through work with the Hopi Nation, the Navajo Nation, and Latino and African American groups, as well as the beginnings of discussions with fundraisers in Hong Kong and Australia, I'll provide tools for understanding what it means to "give" in other cultures, so that fundraising tactics can be used in the proper context.
