Most of us are aware of the commandment of Prophet ﷺ that loving Ali (RA) is sign of faith,
that’s why majority of Muslims love and respect Ali (RA). While Shias who claim to be
followers of Ali (RA) never miss any opportunity to misuse traditions which encourage believers
to love Ali (RA), in order to protect and defend their exaggerated beliefs.
A lot of people are either unaware or have forgotten that a lover of Ali (RA) needs to be cautious
in regards to loving him, because exaggeration in loving Ali (RA) could land a person in a
catastrophic situation. It is interesting that the word of caution about
exaggeration in loving Ali (RA) wasn’t made up by enemies of Ali (RA) or those who held grudge
against him, but rather Ali himself took up the task to caution people about exaggeration in
loving him, that’s why we feel it’s our duty to remind the word of Ali and warn people as
some of the people have certainly fallen to the ruse of Shias and are in a delusion that loving
Ali is all what matters regardless to the restrictions or limits related to it.
The fascinating fact about the warning given by Ali(ra) is that, it is present in both Sunni and
Shia books.
