Alexa can control a huge amount of smart devices out there. Unfortunately, not everything around the house is smart (yet.) Sometimes, we want some of our dumb devices, that work perfectly fine, to automatically turn on or activated by the press of a button. Using a Wemos D1, some wires, and a servo, now you can use Alexa to push just about any type of button you can think of. I'm excited to try this on a variety of projects around the house!

![Whole Home Leak Detector! Phyn Water Assistant Review
Phyn Smart Water Assistant full Review. The water use plus feature is able to estimate how much water you are using throughout the home. There are, however instances where it will not pick up any usage at all for smaller amounts of water or if the pressure changes are not great enough. You are able to train the assistant to learn your home better, and over time it will get smarter. Finding a leak in the home, however, is what this unit is really great for. The only caveat being, you must turn off the main coming into the house to do the plumbing checks.

![WyzeCam Review with ALEXA SUPPORT! View Your Cams on Amazon Devices
The best part about these cameras are not the cameras themselves. The software, from the app itself to the firmware updates on the camera are what sets them apart. It seems this company really strives to make sure bugs get squashed as quickly as possible and that they listen to what the user have to say.
Alexa integration has been the most requested feature to be added, and they listened.

![Is Wyze Sense for You? Full Unboxing, Setup, & Review
After further research I found that the bridge that plugs into the camera uses 915 MHz RF communication between it and the Wyze Sense devices. RF has been proven to be very reliable with pretty good range depending on if your home has a crowded RF network at this low frequency, but may impact battery life in the long run, so time will tell if these can hold up.
The Wyze Sense motion sensor can see up to 26 feet away, at 120 degrees.
All in all, for around $5 for each product you really cant beat the price and I am excite to see what they have planned for future implementations with these products.
Support for IFTTT was also just announced, so through IFTTT, these could be connected to just about anything!

![Smart Switch or Smart Bulb? Why not both! | Inovelli Scenes Part 2
The Inovelli scene enabled smart switch offers so many benefits over a normal Z-wave smart switch. The main feature that stands out is the scene ability along with other features like the ability to disable the internal relay when you physically use the switch. The option to have a smart bulb wired to a smart switch and disabling that internal relay allows you to control anything with a single tap up or down without pulling power to that bulb. Awesome!

![Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier 2 | Is it worth it? | Drews Reviews
The Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier is actually a dang good product given its low price point. Having the ability to control the purifier from your phone from anywhere is a huge bonus. Not to mention the ability to see the quality of the nearby air from anywhere. Theres a few drawbacks including some server issues and, for me, getting the wrong power cord, but can be addressed easily and in my opinion should still be considered. Pick one up for yourself at the link below.
