This is my Bachmann model of Alberta. Towards the end of steam on British Railways, she became one of the best known and loved of the Jubilees and was typically kept in good external condition for use on enthusiast specials.
I wanted the model to have the polished, oily rag appearance of a well looked after but hard working steam locomotive.
Some careful and subtle weathering in the Neville Grove workshop transformed the model loco, and is brought to life by running her on the model railway and by syncing sound of a real Jubilee taken from archive recordings by Peter Handford.
