_Welcome back into the channel for a brand new episode of... Night Springs!_
Alan Wake's American Nightmare has been waiting patiently in the Remedy corner for way too long and WOW 🤩 I had an absolute blast finally playing it!! This felt like the perfect strange bridge after Alan Wake, Max Payne, Quantum Break, and *some* Control, with Alan dropped into an Arizona desert nightmare where fiction, dream logic, and reality all start stepping on each other's toes. Between Mr. Scratch being a horrifyingly charming menace, manuscript pages rewriting the world, flashlight combat feeling smoother than ever, and the nail gun becoming my new best friend, this game had me locked in from the Cardinal Motel to the oil derrick, the observatory, and that wonderfully bizarre Night Springs loop. I love when a shorter game still gives my theory brain plenty to chew on and this one absolutely did! The combat was satisfying, the structure never felt stale, and the story feels like the exact kind of warmup I needed before another Remedy playthrough yall will be seeing soon 👀 Thanks for watching yall 💛
