The time has come! BioShock finally brings us to the reveal that has stuck with almost everyone who ever played this game, and looking back, the writing was on the wall both figuratively and literally. This time around though I wasn't left sitting in shock as much as I was spiraling over _why_ Andrew Ryan would ask his own child to do that. Was it pride? Was he clinging to the hope that Jack would choose instead of obey? Did he know his death was inevitable and wanted one last illusion of free will? OR was he counting on the Vita Chamber after all??? Okay, that last one might be a little wild but we never had to activate one before and now that we know the chambers were tuned to his DNA, I'm not completely writing that theory off. By the time Atlas drops the mask and Tenenbaum pulls Jack out of Fontaine's grip, I felt less like I'd solved the twist and more like the game had handed me ten new questions 🤯 Thanks for watching and for your time 💛
