HD is a good pal!
First ooooff, I wanna say that this is very inspired by one of Instagram user's Axyato's edits, bc their video featured the same song and a similar style to the edit :D
I suppose I shall start with talking about how I even got AROUND to finding the song :D
So I've like, lowkey been wanting to find this song ever since I heard it in an edit a couple months back, and yesterday, by the help of my best friend and Shazam, we found the song XD From there, I was pretty much instantly inspired to edit, not just from the song itself, but also bc of the edit I had seen. Listening to the song made me pretty pumped, as well, 'cause I was excited to finally be listening to the full thing XD
One of my first ideas was to use media of Aki Izayoi from YGO 5D's. Now, I actually haven't watched 5D's yet, but I feel like she might already be my favorite character there? XD Idk she has a badass vibe going on, and from what I've seen of her personally in Tag Force 4, she is quite serious, and I think that's neat OWO
I had then decided that I'll make this in AE. Before this, I was kinda trying to keep away from AE a little bc it had made my computer freeze while rendering a couple times, but after deducing that the culprit was S_BlurMoCurves, I decided to not use that one and just stick with the default things for the most part. I only used S_Vignette for the text at the start and that didn't cause any problems, which was good ^^
I only needed to double check one tutorial for diagonal spins, to see if it's done the way I think it is, and then I was off. I actually can hardly believe that I had so much fun editing this in AE! That might've helped me get back into editing a bit more.
Anyways, I set the pictures and their transitions, as well as the text and some flashes in AE, aaand I also looped the edit, and from there I wanted to continue making this in SV. Oooohh boy that was where it Began XD''
I editing an older coloring that I had made, for this, but tbh, you can't really tell a difference from the original one.
I added bass shakes, pinches, more flashes, fades to b&w, more shakes in general, and ofc, THE FLICKERS. I emphasize it like that, bc holy crap, when I added those, that was when my inner overachiever ESPECIALLY came out. I really wanted to half ass this, but I also was there thinking ''no, you will add flickers wherever they might be, never minding even how unhearable they could be'' and then I kinda outdid myself by sitting there listening for every spot that should have a flicker XD Hell I even added flickers JUST before the loop, where the picture is already crazy shaking around XD
The only part where I didn't add all of the stuff that would go to the music was the beginning with the watermark, but there is no reason for me to add stuff there.
Ah, also, another thing I added in Vegas were audio effects.
I also just, stayed up until 2 AM to make this crap XD
But hey, it was fun, don't get me wrong! XD
One last thing is that I'm surprised that it took a relatively short time to render for what I was anticipating OWO It took 2 hours and 32 minutes to render, and tbh, I was feeling like it would go up to 7 hours XD (Good thing I didn't add RSMB tho bc then that definitely would've been the case, and more XD'')

This had been in the making since early-mid 2022, simply because i hadnt been continuing it at all lol XD
Actually, my girlfriend suggested this idea to me, and i wasnt gonna back down from this challenge, even if i knew i wouldnt have a good time lol XD
First order of business - i was wondering just how awful i could get- XD like, do i just use effects that i dont like, but still edit well? Well, i decided to go with, making everything shoddy- XD And! Just as soon as i started to feel like i like something in what im making, i counteracted it with adding the most cursed effects somewhere else, just to keep myself on my toes XD
But yes, this all started with me setting some eh clips, and using an audio that i had slapped together in mid 2020, i- XD this project technically has 4 years of weirdness in it XD Bruh not even gonna lie, i set some of the clips in 2022, didnt come back to it for a year, played back the edit, and fORGOT I WAS THE PERSON who made the audio lmao Then i slapped some terrible oil effects, the beginning text and one cookie cutter, and called it a day. The i came back to this one night and finished it one go- HELP WHAT POSSESSED ME- XD
This is the next thing i edited after doing my previous uploaded edit- GREAT- kdjhkajha
(I actually finished this the next day after finishing that one, i think)
Not everything i used in this video is what i hate or what i find unsightly - for instance the first bit of text, or even the cool grungy look of the clips! I was wildly switching between thinking about the look of the effects and how they are Used, bc technically, a whole bunch of effects are good, most of them are, but it depends on how they are used, to me personally, i think.

I feel like I should clarify real quick that I have NOT watched VRains yet, and I truly dont know much about Yusaku, but I just came across these models yesterday and I happily downloaded them.
Thats pretty much where this started. Ive seen these models being used in other MMD videos before, and I must say that these models look rather incredible! To me, it feels like this is exactly how you would imagine an anime character looking if they were made 3D.
From there, I tried out some motions on this model plus others that I had downloaded yesterday, and went out of MMD for a while, but later, it finally hit me. The reason why I couldnt render MMD videos was literally because I didnt have the newest version downloaded, and each time it would tell me to download the newest version I was like but isnt _this_ the newest version? XD So I got around to downloading that one, and then I decided to put together this model with a motion and camera that I had previously downloaded, and then add in some kind of stage. I dont know how to switch between models in MMD alone, so I rendered two versions of this. One with Yusaku, and one with Playmaker (Forgive me if thats not his actual name). It didnt come to my mind that I could try doing facial manipulations on Yusaku, so only when I got to doing this with Playmaker did I decide to play around with those and see what I can get. Boy that was fun! So yeah, the blinks, smiles, winks, and whatnot were done by me.
Thankfully the rendering process for these wasnt bad.
After rendering both of these, I decided to go into Vegas and edit it a bit from there.
The thing was that I didnt have a wav file to import into MMD, so I had to sync up the audio in Vegas, but I think I mightve synced it a little weirdly, um? Idk, at points it feels fine but at others it feels like the beats are too early.
All and all, now that Im seeing the result, Im actually pretty happy with it, for it being my first actual MMD video ^^

Phew! It was quite the experience making both this promo and the thumbnail. Got rather burnt out at one point, so it was hard to continue adding scenes, but but! I tried to work on things periodically, first the layout and lastly only the animations. Was a bit of work to find a good camera flow, but i think i got it! Overall it was interesting and fun to make this, and a neat challenge to try only fx! It helped to imagine that Im creating space and the atmosphere of space, instead of needing to think of something abstract.
And yeah! Those are my thoughts on the making of this c:

So, course 1 of art school is almost over. More courses to come, and more stress too, Im sure.
The stress isnt quite over yet, as we still have end-school-year showcases coming up, as well as another thing happening in June that I will have to go to. Not quite sure what its called in English, but its a smaller praxis, I suppose.
Ive come to a point where Im quite tired mentally, but Im still willing to pull myself together and be as productive as I can, this last week, or second-to-last week of school!
All these emotions that this school has made me feel were pretty much the reason I began making this project you see here. I began making it on October 15th 2018, when I was still in my old program at school. I am thankful that I was able to transfer over to the program I am in now, as that was able to lift quite a bit of stress off my shoulders. This new program lets me express myself more and mostly enjoy my lessons more. Ive found some favorite teachers, and my classmates seem nicer and more calm than my previous ones, despite that...I do feel like they sometimes ignore my existence. I do like being alone, but I dont like feeling like Im just non-existent. Although, I was able to befriend a nice person from another class with whom I share a lot of interests.
When I began editing this, I felt like I strongly related to this song, especially this part of it that I used in this video. Although I was inspired by one of FlameyWests videos when making this, I wanted to add my own emotions into it and visualize the song in my own way.
The editing process of this project was very dispersed, and I hadnt gotten much done with it last year. Eventually its process halted bc of school and other projects of mine, but I still kept this one, with the hope that I might continue it sometime, even if I slowly began to feel like I didnt relate to the song as much anymore.
I finally returned to this barely-started project yesterday, and I deduced that I could still relate to this song in a very lowkey way.
I wanted to show Judais depression and anxiety in this video, and basically put myself into, I suppose, most these clips. For some of the clips I didnt bother trying too hard to make them fit bc i didnt feel enough motivation to. Some of them I added as a contrast between his happy self, and basically him through the majority of season 4. Some of them are meant to be seen as nervous or trying to stay happy when not. And others could have a hint of innocence to them.
Also, the clip I added at the diluted part - I added it bc its generally my favorite moment in that episode, and I personally think that its really cute ^^
From a project that I thought would be filled with ambitious effects, I ended up making this project much more simple, buuut I did so deliberately. I wanted a bit of a build up to happen in the effects, leading up to the chorus. When editing this yesterday, I felt like I wanted this project to be relaxing to make, and to be something I could come back to when I dont feel like doing big effects, or when I just dont feel very well. It actually did feel calming to make, and Im glad that I could continue working on this again, after so long ^^ Its very uncommon for me right now to use so little movement, hardly any zooms in my edits like I did at the start, but thats exactly why I wanted to do that. I didnt want to try too hard, and if Im tired, I didnt want to force myself to do a lot. Sure, it was strange for me to look at, at first, but I like it nonetheless. I wanted to keep it simple for what its supposed to represent. I experimented with s_blurmocurves a little in this project ^^
I rendered this twice fully and there was a 3rd render which I cancelled when I saw the mistake I had left in. I fixed it again after the first render because the chorus was too bright, and I think that near the end its still a bit too bright, but I dont feel like rendering this again. The first time it rendered, it took around 30 minutes, and the second time it took 33 minutes, so yeah.
What did surprise me tho, is that I managed to do the majority of the video yesterday and today.
I kind of feel like, me finishing this towards the end of the school year is great, because I guess it could show the span of one school year in a video, but mostly the end of the year.
I would like to also add in that it felt nice to edit with anime media again ^^
Ah, and a fun fact about this video that I would like to mention is that I once tried to remote control my laptop through my phone while I was away from home, aaand I tried to edit this project, and eeerr, it was hard XD I added only one piece of text, but later removed it bc I didnt like how it looked XD

Welp, why not start off the new year with this set uploads!
Kind of reuploads, too.
Basically, I wont be making new edits with Final Fantasy media, or Kingdom Hearts media, or any media by Square Enix. I havent been making any since late 2019. However, I did decide to finish 3 videos in which I really liked my editing, and I didnt want to drop them for that reason. This is the first that I finished of those videos.
I believe for this project, it had also transformed into something of a vent, a project that I came back to every now and then when I felt bad, but not solely for that reason.
I accidentally used the same clip twice here, but oh well.
I dont remember much of what I had to say about this on Vlare, buuut, yes, I knew I wanted to finish this one.
I think it was fun to make at most points? The points which didnt involve me feeling bad.

I feel scared to say much in regards to this new year.
Last year was terrible and, I believe that things wont immediately become better upon the start of this year, but I do hope that with time, things will be able to heal and improve.
