Air India's Brand-New Airbus A350-900 taking off from Mumbai Airport.🔥
VT-JRA is India's First Airbus A350 and was delivered to Air India in December 2023. The airline has ordered 20 Airbus A350-900 and 20 Airbus A350-1000 airliners.
The aircraft is currently deployed on domestic routes for crew familiarization and regulatory compliance purposes.
Air India plans to operate the A350s on long-haul international routes from the second half of 2024. Air India expects to receive 5 more Airbus A350-900s by April 2024.
These 6 airframes were originally built for Aeroflot Airlines and will feature Aeroflot’s cabin configuration. The remaining 34 A350s will feature Air India’s seating configuration.
The initial 6 airframes will feature a total of 316 seats; 28 in business class, 24 in premium economy, and 264 in economy class.
